The AFL Outer East is excited to launch its 2021 pre-season campaign, with the tagline Go Local 2021.
As the league’s competitions near their resumption following a year’s hiatus due to COVID-19, the four-part campaign is a celebration of the Outer East league and all who play a part. We’re encouraging everyone to go local in 2021. To Play Local, Support Local and to Love Local
Regional General Manager Aaron Bailey said the campaign recognises the many ways in which the Outer East community band together, and the importance of the role that each individual plays, whether as a footballer, a netballer, an umpire, or a volunteer.
“The absence of community sport in 2020 was felt by all, and I think for many, it really drove home the value that local sport has on both an individual level and a community level,” he said.
“The response from our region throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, however, has really highlighted the strength and solidarity of our football and netball community.
“We have so much to be proud of within our league and region and we look forward to showcasing that over the next few weeks.
“We hope this campaign resonates with our community and continues to build excitement ahead of our season start in April.”

It’s not too late to get involved with the Outer East in 2021. Player and umpire registrations are now open, with the league providing significant discounts to assist participants through post-COVID recovery.
