Further to communications with AFL Outer East Clubs, Umpires and Auskick Centres on Friday March 13th 2020, discussions are continuing at all levels of the game as to the impacts on the 2020 Season.
The AFL are continuing to work with its State Bodies and the World Health Organisation to consider the options around the 2020 season for Community Football.
AFL Outer East will continue to work with the AFL and AFL Victoria on a plan moving forward. We appreciate the community’s patience whilst this decision is made.
Our approach remains to work in partnership with all other country commissions, under the guidance of AFL Victoria in what our next steps are. The well being and safety of our community and our participants will be paramount in our thinking.
Clubs are advised that any decision to continue or suspend training, club events and practice games has full support of AFL Outer East at 8.00pm Monday 16th.
AFL Outer East will communicate with its broader community as soon as we are made aware of a decision, which is likely in the next 24 hours.
